      • The beginnings of the church
      • Acts tells the story about how the Church spread out into the world

Does anyone know the three biggest characters in Acts?

Read: Acts 2:1-13

What is going on here?

    • A bunch of people who speak different languages are speaking

Have you ever wondered why there are so many different languages?

    • Babel
    • Sin (Give examples of sin)

Point #1 – Sin is a big problem

Can the people who speak different languages understand each other?

    • Yes

How is it possible that these people who normally speak different languages can hear and understand each other?

Read: Acts 2:4

Point #2 – The Grace of God is more powerful than sin

Can someone tell me what the word Grace means?

    • Grace is help from God that we don’t deserve
    • Grace is God’s favor that we don’t deserve
    • Give examples of God’s grace in our lives

Read: Acts 2:14-24

What just happened?

    • Jesus Christ came and performed many miracles
    • Jesus Christ came for a purpose
    • Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross

Who nailed Jesus to the cross?

Point #1 – Sin is a big problem

Who is sin a big problem for?

    • Just these guys in the story who did these horrible things to Jesus?
    • You, me, and everybody
    • Romans 3:23

Read: Acts 2:29-33

What just happened?

Point #2 – The Grace of God is more powerful than sin

    • Romans 6:23
    • Jesus has defeated death
    • God has raised Christ from the dead
    • The Grace of God is powerful than sin

Where is Jess right now?

    • At the right hand of God.
    • Ruling and reigning

Do you care?
