The Laborer’s in the Vineyard

Children’s Church – “The Laborers in the Vineyard”

The Bible Teaches:

Point 1 – Everyone gets what they deserve, but some get more

Act out the parable… push-up position illustration (agree to pay one of the boys $1.00 if he will stay in push-up position for 12 minutes… every 3 minutes bring up another boy and tell him you will pay them what is right… after 12 minutes pay everyone $1.00 for their work).

Tell the story of the man who converts on death-row

Pray

Point 1 – Everyone gets what they deserve, but some get more

We are talking about the Kingdom of Heaven….  Who is the King in the Kingdom of Heaven?

What does the King require from his people?        – Worship

How many of you everyday, all-day, worship King Jesus perfectly?

We all have to admit there are times in our lives where we are guilty of plucking the forbidden fruit off of the tree of knowledge of good evil.

      • There are times when…  God has asked us to speak to a rock and in our anger we hit it
      • Times… when instead of trusting God, we laugh like Sarah
      • Times… when instead of going to Nineveh, we run the other way

Romans 3:23…. For all have sinned
Romans 6:23… The wages of sin is death

Point 1 – Everyone gets what they deserve, but some get more

      • The workers who started early in the morning got what they deserved
      • The workers who started in the 11th hour got more than they deserved

God’s grace is his love that we don’t deserve…. His help that none of us deserve

God is so generous and so loving…

If you believe the truth of this story and Romans 6:23… Then put your faith in the King… Jesus Christ

It is by grace you are saved, through faith
